Brian Hunter played 4 years at the University of Hartford where he played 3rd base, 1st, base, catcher, and ultimately ended up pitching. Finished tied for 2nd in career strikeouts. America East All-Conference 2nd team selection in 2014. Drafted in the 9th round of 2014 MLB draft by the Cincinnati Reds. Posted a 1.95 ERA in 27.2 innings with 31 K’s in his first season for the Billings Mustangs. Posted a 2.20 ERA in 32.2 innings with 41 K’s in his second season for the Dayton Dragons before undergoing Tommy John surgery. Named to the Midwest League All Star team. Returned for 2017 and posted a combined 2.51 ERA in 28.2 innings with 37 K’s across two levels.
Studied Physical Therapy at UHart and despite having not completed the 7 year program he still carries his biomechanical knowledge and background over to the baseball world. He puts a heavy emphasis on injury prevention, proper warm up/post throwing routine, suitable strength/conditioning, and nutrition. Available for pitching, hitting, and fielding lessons.
